Re: Research on Art, doing Phd and Not Phd-  Among the existing alternatives for a photo artist, just to be well educated and secure on the way to reach a better informed status seem to be the case for me    lets say if he does not go on with phd studies scholarly in some way: On the side, modernity has by itself contraversial arguments in continuation, which are not ever getting finalized yet. Actually many things occur re modernism within multi media art realizations with respective interactivities. For myself i would have considered doing phd in intermedia arts, including visuals arts, photography, new musics, performance arts etc.etc. by all means should i go for teaching credentials. But even otherwise, mostly for arts sake, i coordinated wide interest for such art works for many years. At this occasion, i will visualize this topic within my personal appeals, hereby thinking on researches about contemporary arts.

Doing any casual research on your own subjects, is an important undertaking. Arts today, are really like -a time based developing phenomena-, very distinctively being pushed on. When, i myself started, my out of line photos with a hand lamp carving sinusoids (listening to new musics), into the objectives at B positions in the quasi darkened living room, i obtained really abstract and modernistic feedbacks on those negatives of my voigtlander camera. At this period of my life, my connection with arts was undeveloped, quite blurred and not inquisitive, just only up to a degree that would match to my already  wide knowledge of modern jazz, in the fifties. All along the fifties, modern art was not extended and not widely spread around everywhere, anyway.Therefore, i realized that i was also aware of very limited first hand experiences about the modern art that globally existed at the mid sixties. Even though, normally art themes needed to precede modern art in  steps to be followed logically, the illustrative outlooks of the forms that i had kept producing, were just to be inquired in their gross outlooks, and in the side stories  that went along in the experimenting art surroundings, along the art schools. The immediate contacts through adequate guidances brought me quite into these extreme circles easily and properly. Variety of approaches to art communities in  Istanbul and some European Countries were pleasingly realized in two or three years. So, soon after, for the visual art incidences many artists went into my connections of art world. Kandisky, pollock, hartung, miro, takis, kounellis, pierre restany, bruno munari, max bill, beuys, nam june paik,  john cage and many others were incidentally live or in the media unforgettable miles stones of importance to my recognizances, in memorable depth.
To me, such a  start ignited on, as a never ceasing pursuit energy on phd like investigations until now, both getting on them and trying digesting my new finds on art. On the top of an ongoing respect for Contemporary Arts, indeed, new works, ideas, events and critical adjustments were always being shared items. The venture would keep you up and safe in your directions, also just staying quite cleared from doing new replicates, but often near  to utopic, experimental ideas.  So,  communications, do develop accordingly, as well. Art works in a life long style, are private affairs on your own. It becomes socialy shared event when you do get involved to interactive performances. Modern dance and new musics within the performances next to modern graphics,  and creative actions of photography, as super involvements finally get transformed to multi media events. The conceptual intricacies in new media art disciplines give ways to experimental creativities. The routine involvements of technological gadgets doubling on conventionalism  and traditional conservatisms, oblige in turn help from contemporary arts. Finally, creative art becomes socially all in one the salvation and the utopia, both in the same time. Art festivals, major exhibitions, travels and art magazines were most interesting during seventies and eighties. Then, biennials and more art magazines, international exhibitions kept all contemporary art entusiasts, thirsty for artnews, all along the art events. Nowadays even websites, artworld networks and immediate internet links are the very recent add ups for people who desire to establish newer and newer communication outlets-links-. However, such awareness possibilities, are not completely free of some multitude of conservative and distorted media fall outs too.Therefore, the joint togetherness of mediatic articulations of a wide variety of new music being on the side and all shared contemporary art competitiveness next to it, they will possibly try erasing, ending and finishing the retroactive conservativenesses existing further intensely, around us today. About the use of new technologies today, as arbitrary safety measure to deal with them, playing and handling them in your diverse ways, may all constitute the  essence of artistic only endeavours. For such reasons and experiences, points to be directed to all, that new tools coming to the daily life, and into the playgrounds of the children should be treated as random play items accordingly. Responding fully to the new technology market demands, all pc computer softwares reaching us safely, have in fact many loose ends concerning their updated finalizations. When artists get their chances to play on them, unbelievable random creative enhancements seem easily obtainable for adjustments and for the artistic interests. For super technology alienation incidences, such double step cautions of contemporary art interfaces are proving often very likely and just.
